Construction and Demolition Debris Removal

Scrap lumber, pallets and bagged demo debris hauled off the driveway once the work is done.

A driveway pile once the crew has packed up

The call tends to come after the work is done. The kitchen is torn out, the new floor is down, and everything that did not go into the house is leaning on the garage door: black contractor bags, scrap framing lumber, the boxes the tile came in, a pallet that got cut up for blocking. The contractor has moved on to the next site and the pile is still yours.

Mess Haul Men publishes this as Construction and Demolition Debris Removal, and the job is exactly that. The leftovers from a remodel, a small demo or a repair get hauled off so the driveway, the garage apron or the side yard is clear again. If that is your driveway in Killingworth or anywhere in Middlesex County, call or text Steve at 860-227-3403.

Bags tied, lumber stacked, nails left where they are

A pile loads fastest when it has been staged. Debris bags tied and set together move as a group. Scrap lumber stacked in one place can be lifted by the armload, where a spread-out pile has to be picked up piece by piece. Flattened boxes and pallet slats go beside the stack so nothing is buried under anything else.

Nails and fasteners are the part people forget. Framing lumber from a demo comes with nails still standing in it, plus screws, metal straps and brackets mixed into the heap. Do not pull hardware out ahead of time unless you can do it safely, and wear heavy gloves if you have to move anything at all. Leave the sharp end of the pile for Steve.

To get an initial quote, text a few photos to 860-227-3403 or email messhaulmen@gmail.com. One shot of the whole pile and one of the way in from the street tell Steve what he is carrying and how far, and the quote is based on that specific job.

What a cleared driveway gets you back

Left outside, a demo pile does not stay tidy. Bags split, cardboard goes soft in the rain, and the nails in that lumber find tires and bare feet. A clear driveway means the car goes back in the garage, the next trade can pull in, and a buyer or inspector is not stepping around the last job on the way to the door.

If the same project also filled up an attic, a basement or a garage, mention it when you call. Mess Haul Men is experienced and fully insured, and references are available upon request.

Load sheet

Three lines on the load sheet.

Curbside load by a white garage door: three black bags, a heap of framing lumber and stacked porcelain tile boxes
Curbside load: bagged debris, framing lumber and tile boxes, staged by the garage door.
  1. Bagged demo debris

Three black contractor bags, tied and set together at the foot of the pile so they move as one load.

  2. Scrap framing lumber, nails still in it

Cut ends and offcuts with nails and metal straps standing out of them. This is the part of the pile to leave alone.

  3. Tile boxes and a cut pallet

Stacked porcelain tile boxes against the garage door with cut pallet stock leaning beside them: the packaging end of a remodel.

Same driveway, but the pile is branches and yard waste instead? That is landscaping debris removal. The full list of what Mess Haul Men hauls in Killingworth & Middlesex County, CT is on the services page, and photos of your own pile go to Steve through the contact page.
